I get it....
The promo banner is wrong... It said that she will perform at Nov. 19th. Which is actually Nov. 21st.... _________________

Another gig on a Mia night? [brain does not compute and explodes in a puff of confusion (it's a small puff)]
Well Jimbob thinks he might make it and I'm taking my son to prove to Mia that I'm not too old for her.
Will post a report here on Weds night. No more late nights for me.

Evanescence was cancelled, no gothic night out for me. And no Mia gig either as it takes me the whole day to get to London. _________________

Hot off the press after Dud and Son of Dud caught tonight's gig:
An interesting night. Arrived at 8.30 when the doors open to be told they are not ready yet and go back to the bar.
Returned after 5 mins and deposited Mia flyers all round the place (yay Streetteam duties fulfilled!)
Said hi to Mia who was very sweet and remembered meeting Son of Dud previously (he mentioned it later, was very chuffed)
First up Gavin Wyatt
Good singer, one of the better male voices I've heard in a while and sang a couple of different songs (different style, you know how when people do 3 or 4 songs they can sometimes be a bit samey, this guy wasn't like that.) He had a good sense of humour in between songs which was refreshing.

Next up Delta Sounds an acoustic duo. I wasn't really sure what to make of this pair. The lady singer seemed to be performing for the guy playing the guitar rather than to the audience. Whilst they were both energetic they lacked some presentation and didnt appear to have made an effort with appearance (like, in the slightest). Needs some work I think.

Then Emily Zuzik, an American singer who was well very American if you know what I mean. You could have watched her for 20 seconds and would have guessed if you hadn't been told. She was good, and unfortunately is returning Stateside tomorrow (today) but hopes to return in the Spring with a full band. I hope she does, I'd see her again. She was very seasoned, mature in her handling of the audience and was highly enjoyable.

Then there was this other female singer, oh yeah Mia Silvas.
She was fantastic, best performer of the night but then I don't think I am objective. Setlist was:
A lot Like Me
Easier Said Than Done
Miss Communication
Trouble All the Way
Mia was in high spirits possibly due to a reasonable group of friends in attendance so she had the largest viewing crowd of the evening and deservedly so.
Mr Ben Mark put in a flawless performance on guitar.
Home by 1am, almost an early night for me. Son of Dud is a student in London so he was probably tucked up in bed by midnight (or out to a party as the night was so young.)
At the moment that's all the Mia gigs for 2006 unless something else gets arranged/confirmed (fingers crossed) Mia, thanks a lot for letting me find you at The Bedford back in September. I have enjoyed attending the performances that I have made since then and your voice has bought me (and the other forum members) a lot of happiness. Keep it up!
Oh and Marly, consider Mia suitably slapped for the flyer thing
Dud (and Son of Dud who will sulk if he doesn't get a mention, teenagers do that)
The opinions expressed in this and any other Dud postings are the personal views of Paul (Dud) and nothing to do with Mia or her management.
