I hope the audience have a lovely night with Mia.
This was posted on the website of the venue. Quite sweet.
Quote: | Mia Silvas
As a session singer/ percussionist Mia has performed live with a number of different artists including Lucie, Judie Tzuke and Lazy Habits, playing all around London and throughout the world. Only recently beginning to branch out on her own, with influences that take in everyone from Jeff Buckley to India Arie, Silvas' songs continue to win hearts and minds wherever she plays. |

We did thanks, she was with Chris on guitar, he's still learning the chords for the Holland tour
I met two other regulars in the cafe below the venue beforehand. They recognised me from the Regal Room last saturday, so that was nice, had someone to talk to. Turns out they live in my old neck of the woods (where I was living last year before the move in December) and one of them lives about 8km from my old house! Spooky, especially as she also rides a motorbike - I could have given her a lift to all of last years gigs!. I forget their names - you'll all know how rubbish I am at names. Could have been Fiona and Natalie but I'll look for them on myspace, or say hi at the next gig I see them at.
Anyway set was very good even though Mia overstayed at a previous event that she's offered to help at, and walked in just in time (like 5 mins after the previous act finished. To the uninformed it all looked cool and scheduled but Mia admitted it was touch and go, that she had driven quite speedily and parked outside the front.
Chris did a bit of backing vocals - it works really well and he said after he's planning on doing it on another track or two for Holland, so look out for that. No video I'm afraid, didn't realise he would be joining in singing
There are some photos, just a few, to prove we were there. Will post them when I get home tonight I hope.
Strange venue - tin roof above our heads. Not sure what we would have heard had it been raining

Bvx, great! Missed those a bit during Turnaround.
You've had a lot of Mia this month, Paul! |

that was the track thank you!
He did them on Turn Around and is hoping to do them on Miss Communication (which cried out for them too)
Here are the photos
I'm getting good at looking remotely like I am having a good time AND keeping my eyes open. Maybe I'm just not scared of Mia anymore
