I wanted to go... Because the name of the place is like fabulous but I can't as Im here in the US and the gig is just not. Maybe seeing as it's a bank holiday we could like crane the venue over or something. _________________

Mia is quite a stage animal.... After performing with Lucie this weekend, she is for herself on the stage again. _________________

Well in the end I made it. We move tomorrow so I was under strict instructions from Mrs Dud (who the regulars will know is very understanding of my Mia stalking and Lucie/Bailey/Emily gigs) that I was only allowed out if I packed the study and garage into boxes - no small task!
I finished at 2pm having started at 7am. Was on the bike by 2.10 heading into London. I got lost, always do, I hate travelling in London.
Made it at 3.15pm and whilst buying a drink Mia and Chris came in and said hello.
No one else from the forums that I recognised (apologies if anyone was there and I missed you) so I was lucky enough to sit with Mr & Mrs Mia and their friends.
Mia looked lovely but then I'm biased. She was on particularly fine voice today both singing her set and backing Chris; their voices make a nice blend.
Setlists
A Lot like me
Taking a chance
More Fool me
Turn Around
Miss Communication
Trouble all the way
Chris' set
Love you and leave you
Does it hurt
Constant
Ain't the way it stays (not sure of the title)
Carried Away
Finding Life
Chris was in a happy mood, very pleased to see me, I think he's beginning to recognise me now. He had a young lady from NZ who had come across from Notting Hill Carnival to hear him sing, and I don't think she was disappointed. He had a guitar solo on one track that wasnt working with him on guitar but one of the other performers kindly leapt on stage (if you can call it that) plugged in and played rhythm guitar, allowing Chris to strut his stuff.
Pleasant ride home and back before Mrs Dud has got in so time for this update and make sure all the packing I can do is done (which it is)
See some of you on the 13/16th I hope. Mia mentioned that she hopes to be selling her new album at O2 Indigo, which I cant go to as I have a prior concert ticket with Sting, Andy and Stewart
No photos as the camera is packed! It's in a box somewhere.
Regards
Dud |
