Hello All,

I realise it's been a while since I wrote anything on here, so I thought I'd say a quick hello!

Firstly I have an announcement which some of you may or may not have already heard.

I am expecting a baby! My little bundle of joy is due to arrive at the end of the this year... 1 Jan to be precise... so there's still hope I may make it into the news by having the first baby of 2010! Keep your fingers crossed for me folks.

As you can imagine, it's very exciting news for the Silvas clan as this will be the first grandchild and niece/nephew! It also means plenty of changes.

I do just want to say that this does not in any way mean that I won't be continuing with my musical career. There are still plenty of things going on as always.

I am currently working on new material and hope to be recording for my 2nd album early in the new year. Obviously I am putting off any touring until a little later in 2010, but I'm hoping to still do the odd gig here and there when I can (you can still see me down at the Ranelagh in North London pretty regularly). I will also be touring with Judie Tzuke and my lovely sis Lucie sometime in 2010... so watch this space.

It's all go basically!

Anyway, just want to say thank you for your continuing support and hope to see you all with my little one in 2010.

Wow what amazing news. Congratulations sweetie. We all miss your singing but understand why you havent been in the dingy pubs recently.

I am really genuinely pleased for you Mia, it's fantastic news to be able to deliver, many congratulations from myself and best of luck for the rest of the pregnancy! Bet the rest of the Silvas family are really excited. I think a few of us must confess after the Kilworth House gig we did wonder whether a little one was on the horizon...

For those of you who are wondering how it's all going, here is Mia at last Sundays Welcome to the Tzuke gig, a tribute to the work and writing of the lovely Judie Tzuke. Mia sang on several songs, sounded wonderful and looked pretty sexy, as pregnant women do IMHO.

Oddly enough the other singer with her was also pregnant, as was one of the waitresses.
Mrs Dud and I were commenting on the amazing arch in her back, as the body compensates for the additional weight at the front.

Thanks as I forgot to mention her hair - I noticed it on the night, really grown out long. I remember when she had it cut quite short. Must be a washing nightmare at the moment Shocked
